Myth in nature, voices from a landscape

Myths in nature, voices from a landscape, is based on an oral myth called The dragon in the Gullmars fjord, a tale that has travelled through Bohuslän's coastal landscape for centuries. The story takes place on a fjord that I used to travel over as a child while visiting my grandparents. By exploring different versions of this tale, I seek to understand the role of the dragon embedded as a danger within the landscape. By dyeing yarn with plants I collected surrounding the fjord I want to give nature and the enchanted tale a voice through colour and motif. The different works presented are my depiction of the interaction between myth, landscape, and personal perspective, all brought together in textile storytelling.
